Recently, Strategic Hotels hosted a stunning convention at the iconic InterContinental Miami in downtown Miami. From April 4 - 7, 2024, 180 top-level hoteliers from luxury and ultra luxury brands came together under one roof for inspiration and out-of-the-box conversations. Beginning with an inspiring General Session in the Grand Ballroom, the event curated an audience-style set for the interview stage. Utilizing the in-house AV partner, Encore, three massive LED screens were utilized and through seamless collaboration with the host's production team on premier lighting and sound, a true vision came to life.
The 35,000 square-foot SkyLawn played host to a Fear Factor-inspired activity challenge. Utilizing the sprawling lawn, the group competed in various events for prizes, all while connecting and encouraging one another.
During the evening, the event capitalized on local cultural roots for a "Havana Nights" party in the Chopin Ballroom. From the start, attendees felt the Miami vibes. InterContinental Miami and their dedicated culinary team curated delicious and authentic Cuban cuisine to transport guests to Havana.
Ensuring the guests left with local-inspired gifts, a breakout ballroom was turned into a bodega where attendees selected their own amenities, snacks and liquor throughout their stay. InterContinental Miami delivered an abundant and unique selection of products. Opening each morning and afternoon, attendees remained lavished throughout the event. Throughout every aspect of the event, attendees felt the culture of their surroundings.
