The Apurva Kempinski Bali
Bali, Indonesia
Sustainability is built into the operations at The Apurva, focusing on agriculture education, where the resort nurtures local farmers with a goal of helping them become independent suppliers for hotels and restaurants. In addition, the resort cultivates the next generation of hospitality professionals and offers guests an opportunity to contribute financially to medical and education needs of severely disadvantaged families in poverty-stricken communities.
Atlantis, Paradise Island
Paradise Island, Bahamas
Twenty-one participants made up the Atlantis Paradise Island team that raised $25,000 in the fight against cancer in the Bahamas Hope Challenge, aka the Ride for Hope, this year. The national event takes place on the island of Eleuthera and is a daylong bike, run and walk event to raise money and awareness.
The Breakers Palm Beach
Palm Beach, Florida
In partnership with The Palm Beach County Food Bank, The Breakers helped pack more than 222,000 meals over two events to feed hungry neighbors and families in Palm Beach County. With 1 in 11 people in the county struggling to put food on the table, and 1 in 7 children going to bed hungry, this dedicated group packaged pasta dinners that fed up to 1.3 million people.
Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa
Sonoma, California
The resort has a special relationship with El Verano Elementary School. Employees had a back-to-school drive to donate supplies for students and teachers, participated in an Angel Tree program to wrap and donate holiday presents for children, included a student in the annual tree-lighting ceremony (complete with a night’s stay at the resort), and raised money for the El Verano book vending machine.
Half Moon, Jamaica
Montego Bay, Jamaica
For more than six decades, Half Moon has committed to make a meaningful contribution to Jamaica through investments in education, community service, and environmental protection and preservation. Half Moon’s various initiatives include the Barrett Town All Age School, SOS Children’s Village, the Granville Childcare Facility for Girls and the Montego Bay Marine Park Trust among other charities where employees dedicate time and resources.
The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa
Houston, Texas
Houston’s first responders and linemen working to restore the city after Hurricane Beryl were treated to complimentary plates of barbecue and welcomed with cheers from hotel staff at the Big BBQ Thank You drive-through. The hotel’s culinary team smoked 24 briskets, 240 racks of ribs and 200 pounds of sausage, donated by Sysco, to make over 1,000 plates. Hotel guests, neighbors and Houstonian Club members also came by to purchase plates of food and donate money. Donations totaling $12,600 were given to the Greater Houston Disaster Alliance Hurricane Beryl Recovery Fund.
InterContinental Miami

In its 29th year, the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball raised more than $5 million to help grant life-changing wishes for critically ill children. The event was headlined by Grammy-winning artist Gwen Stefani and had a whimsical Italian circus theme, including gondoliers, dancers, singers and clowns.
InterContinental New York Barclay
New York, New York
The hotel collected more than 200 books for the New York Public Library, which collaborates with schools and educational programs to support literacy and education.
InterContinental San Francisco
San Francisco, California
The hotel fosters relationships with local businesses, cultural institutions and charitable organizations to benefit the community. It helped educate youth about the importance of locally grown food and sustainability through Foodwise, an organization that helps people eat healthy. The hotel also supported initiatives on homelessness, education and health, including Safe and Sound, Refuse Refuse, Party with a Purpose, One Warm Coat, ASPCA, Help a Mother Out, New Door, Together SF, Reach Ashland Youth Center and more.
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Resort, Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando
Orlando, Florida
Now in its 11th year, the hotels partnered with U.S. Hunger for an annual meal-packing event on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. It’s the largest community service project of the year for the Orlando campus. Team members, their families, friends and company partners assembled 455,110 meals, bringing the total to nearly 3.8 million meals since the partnership began. Meals were distributed to local food banks and organizations, as well as to people impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Marc & Rose Hospitality, Arizona Grand Resort & Spa and The Scott Resort & Spa
Scottsdale, Arizona
The organization supported National Sales Manager Julie Gillihan and Love One International when Gillihan traveled to Uganda on a mission trip. Her time was spent caring for babies at the Love One Center, visiting local hospitals, community and village outreach and resettlement of the healthy children back into their homes and communities.
Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa
Austin, Texas
The resort’s annual Superhero Fun Run raised funds for JoyRx Children’s Cancer Association, uplifting children facing serious health challenges. Participants laced up their shoes, formed superhero squads and enjoyed a day of fitness and fun, all while giving back. In addition, the resort is part of Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Say Goodnight to Hunger initiative, which has donated more than 20 million meals nationwide; and the resort has also strongly supported the Central Texas Food Bank, where associates volunteered to help provide 13,200 meals by sorting food and preparing meals.

Hot Springs, Virginia
In May, a silent auction during the resort’s annual Epicurean Classic weekend raised funds for the Bath County Christmas Mother program and the Highland Children's House. The auction raised over $20,000 for the two organizations.
Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, Reno
Reno, Nevada
The resort recently helped victims of the Davis Creek Fire with discounted rates and waived resort fees to aid displaced residents. It also donated $100,000 to the Davis Creek Emergency Fund, which provided immediate relief to fire victims in the form of food, shelter, medical supplies and emergency financial assistance.
PGA National Resort
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
The resort is involved in the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization, hosting families for a fun-filled celebration of diversity and inclusion for World Down Syndrome Day. It also is active in the Best Buddies Champion of the Year competitive fundraising campaign, recognizing leaders of inclusion in local communities.
The Sebastian Vail
Vail, Colorado
Dedicated team members signed up for trash-collecting duties in the spring and fall as part of The Sebastian Vail’s commitment to the community and its beautification, including separate clean-up efforts for the highway, community and the river. Their commitment and enthusiasm made the efforts meaningful and fun.
Silverado Resort
Napa, California
The resort was recently commended for its many contributions to the Napa Valley region and lauded for its long history of community support by State Sen. Bill Dodd. Last year, it received the 2023 Community Service Award at the California Hotel & Lodging Association’s annual Stars of the Industry event. Community outreach programs include the Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, a high school summer mentor program, Toys for Tots, a backpack drive for children, human trafficking awareness and volunteerism at a local animal shelter.
Terranea Resort
Los Angeles, California
The resort turned pink—the decor, the pool, the drinks—in honor of breast cancer awareness month, raising over $13,000 to benefit Cancer Support Community South Bay and Play for PINK. Efforts included Full Moon Yoga, Beach Cove Movie Night featuring “Barbie,” Birdies for Breast Cancer, signature cocktails and social media promotions.
Trump National Doral Miami
Miami, Florida
The 2024 Pink Lady Golf Tournament united golfers to support breast cancer research through Baptist Health. The tournament raised $100,000 to fund lifesaving advancements.
The Wigwam
Phoenix, Arizona
During the holidays, guests can donate a new, unwrapped toy to the United Goodyear Firefighters Charities to spread holiday cheer to families in need or facing tragedy, such as losing their home to a fire. Additionally, the resort featured a monthly cocktail and mocktail at its restaurants that benefited a different local charity each month. Other community efforts included a day of providing meals for those in need to honor the anniversary of 9/11; and a Back to Cool event that provided children a haircut, new backpacks and school supplies.
